Ah, one time Google let me down. First I went to the Toyota website and didn't see an obvious link (I didn't think to click the text at the bottom), so I Googled "Toyota 50th" and found that site I linked to up there in the second post in the thread.

Looking at the other site, I noticed Hybrids have their own section - but they only mention one!

You're kidding, right? Reading your other posts that's safe to assume. You DO know that Chinese citizens now have RV clubs ... off road clubs, etc? Yea boy, we set a great example on how to preserve natural resources. I can't blame Toyota & GM for pandering the mongo trucks. Sure, there are still rickshaws and san pans through out Asia, but those aren’t the things that are causing us to have to compete for the remaining global oil supply.

On a happier note, thanks for the post above that shows there was at least one other 50 year anniversary ad from Toyota, depicting the Prius, in stead of the guzzler pickup.

Yup. They become more like us as we become more like them. As the Chinese become more affluent they will spend larger percentages of their income on "luxury goods". The difference is that they will have the dollars to buy the oil, presuming the Arabs will still take dollars. In NYC the rickshaw has made a comeback on the west side. (I've only seen empty ones being pedalled.)

Because it was a screen grab from an email. Sorry for the confusion, but when I said that I got this flyer in the mail, it was email. That's what I get, for trying to save typing an 'e' :P
StevO has too much time on his hand, to notice such things ... but I gotta killer scanner. I could have printed the email, scaned it on a slight tilt, then resubmitted it on PC. That would show I have too much time to waste, too.

Did you get it at your California or Montana address? If you received it at your Montana address, then it could be that they have targeted their flyer to different regions.
[/b]
The Toyota email is CA. Our SUV hybrid in MT is Lexus. They never send coupons or discount offers. Hmm ...wonder why. Could it be because the nearest Lexus dealer to Kalispell is TWO states away, in Spokane, WA ? Yea, the local dealers don't seem too interested in targeting prospects accross the Idaho panhandle.

After 12 years in the Web biz, I notice these things right away.
