Help Wanted: Navigator for Hybridfest MPG Challenge

Qualifications: Must speak English, ability to read directions and communicate them to a grumpy demanding driver. Patient friendly attitude. Good sense of humor a plus. Must enjoy rock & roll music.

Salary: Karma, good for 1 day. 1 cold brew at end of work day.

Benefits: My personal thanks and admiration for participating and helping.

Realize you'll need to be at 'Fest before noon on Friday and be able to hang around the entire day since I don't know when I'll run. I'm not going out with any expectation to win, just curious to see how my usual driving style compares to the serious hypermilers on the same course and conditions. That said I'd like to make a good showing and having the benefit of someone who can tell me how far ahead the next turn is, what the max/min speed limits are, etc. would go a long way to help me.

Finally, just in case you're kid phobic, my 7 y/o son will be in the back seat with me...he's a good kid.

I'd like to thank everyone for their interest, but the position has been filled.
I've hired an excellent applicant, perhaps you're familiar with the great Wayne "FireEngineer" who will be joining me, along with his 14 y/o daughter.

His prior experience and naive agreability were the deciding factors.

Oh man, you guys are killing me! Be careful with Wayne; you'll probably have a subwoofer installed in the spare tire compartment by the end of the MPG Challenge.

Evan, how long is the rally? Wayne, hold out for lunch & dinner. That is what I paid my navigator. If Meredith M. shows up in her blue Insight you will have some tough competition and will need dead accurate navigation to compensate for the economy.

Best of luck. Avenge the NJ loss to the Insight. :P

30 miles, I'm guessing just over an hour time wise, but we don't have route maps yet.

And HEY! Don't push the lunch/dinner thing, I'm a starving MD!
