Did You-all see The Closer on TNT tonight?

OK, I was watching The Closer, and first scene, Lt. Provenza was taping off the crime scene and I was surprised when I noticed two Piuses parked side by side. Then they revealed that this was the Toyota section of the valet parking lot, and I thought, "That's odd, I wonder how many valet parking lots in LA sort the cars by make. As the story continues, I learned that the valet had Obsesive Compulsive Disorder. The detectives were trying to identify the anonymous 911 caller, which they were able to do because the unckle who owned the lot identified his Obsesive Compulsive nephew as "The only valet who would refer to a Toyota section of the lot, as no other valet parking has sections like that."

So who cares, right! I guess I am Obsesive Compulsive too.

The Prius was a major player in the Closer last night (August 27). A murder victim was driving a rented Prius when she was killed. The detectives took the GPS out of the car to pull the phone numbers. They showed the really smashed up Prius at the end of the episode. It didn't look very good.

Hopefully, they used a salvaged Prius that no one would want to own.

I have heard that the studios have body shops that do quick and dirty repairs so the cars can star agian.

Many cars we see wrecked on TV chase scenes are probably already wrecked on the side away from the camera.

I am not saying they never use nice cars, but at least you can find a little releif in thinking maybe they didn't wreck a brand new Prius.

I saw this episode. I was thinking poor Prius. Though I did not get to see the ending. I thought it was interesting to see how they got the records from the GPS and the phone.

Great episode. They showed the smashed up Prius several times at the scene...it was sooooo hard to look at

, especially at the end in the parking structure. I was hoping that it was one salvaged from an actual crash. It was nice that Brenda Johnson continuously said Prius when talking about the car and Provenza and others referred to it as a hybrid. Nice plug for Toyota and a great show to boot!

I guess I'm being cynical here, but since Toyota is a sponsor of The Closer, it looks like product placement to me. The camera did zero right in on the Prius nameplate of the one that was wrecked - and about a minute or two later we were treated to a Toyota commercial.

Love the show anyway!
