I stand corrected.

That was so much fun, I have changed my sigfile to incorporate it permanently.

And yes, I did have too much time on my hands the other day.

I would have discribed #2 as, not a resize, but as a

Warp Coil Upgrades for increased vector stabilization during warp flight and increased effectiveness in hazardous nebulas and ion fields.

good stuff though :P

8. Intermix Pre-Heater: Installed by MiddleEarth and Conflagration engineers, it takes energy from SpaceDock reactors, to increase the Intermix Chamber temperatures to near warp capability, allowing faster engagement of Warp Drive on leaving SpaceDock.

Engine Block heater installed. Installed by Fire-engineer.

Actually Hobbit did the basic install, I just fished the cord through the grill.

All the added features are handy, but you didn't mention all the cool standard-issue features of the Prius-class shuttlecraft (This is from the brochure that the Ferengi I bought mine from gave me, so who knows if it's true?!):
Quote:
1. Ionizing Plasma Chambers for reducing particulate out-flow: Warp corridors are increasingly stressed by frequent over-use of high warp. The Ionizing plasma chambers reduce the overall damage that vessels cause to the fabric of subspace.

2. Primary and Secondary Magnetic Field Coils:
* Primary interfaces directly to the port and starboard nacelles, and also recaptures kinetic energy as the craft drops out of warp, resulting in both engine efficiency gains, and in decreased use of reverse thrusters (a formerly troublesome and frequently replaced component).
* Secondary aids in the recapture of kinetic energy, but also contributes energy to the warp reactor when the warp field is active. It also serves as a warp-inducer by dumping energy directly into the warp reactor, since unlike other vessels of this class, the warp field is actually allowed to collapse during impulse travel, and must be re-created in order to enter warp.

3. Warp Reactor: Unusually small for this class of vessel, it has a fairly standard 4 dilithium chambers, but uses both a smaller plasma displacement than many other shuttlecraft, and an unusual frequency of subspace fluctuation to maintain the warp field, known colloquially as the "Atkinson Cycle," after James Atkinson, who was phase-shifted directly into warp-space during an early warp field test accident. He became the first and only human to travel at warp speed without a vessel, however the consensus is that he could not have survived for more than 6.02e-23 seconds in that state, and that even if he did survive, there's little hope of his return.

4. Magnetic Field/Warp Intermix Regulator: A particularly clever bit of engineering allows the subspace and magnetic fields to interact, providing very impressive efficiency gains over other shuttlecraft. The warp reactor is allowed to operate at optimal efficiency during non-combat operations, and the magnetic field coils actually play a major part in sustaining the warp field, which was previously thought to be too dangerous to attempt! The Intermix Regulator also negates the need for standard power couplings to the warp chamber, which are volatile and inefficient components at best. Your engineer will thank you later for that!
[/b]
The Ferengi who sold me mine also charged me extra because he said he had, against Starfleet regulation, installed a stealth device that could be activated by careful manipulation of the throttle. He then proceeded to sell me (for a pretty unreasonable price, I might add) a stealth interface component that makes stealth easier to use, and more consistent in its operation. It turns out that the stealth system AND the interface were actually manufactured by Starfleet, but because of existing Fedration treaties, they can't make it available to starship captains in this quadrant. So if you run into a Ferengi named Ozek, punch him in the ears for me.

Actually I think Bob64 figured that one out.

You're right. I missed it. It will be duly noted int Bob64's Starfleet Personnel Record.

I have some of the specifications printed up in a Publisher file, that I have taped to the window of the shuttlecraft, er. attached to the lateral port via a semipermanent adhesive polymeric sheet strip.

More standard features:

External ambient kinetic energy sensor.

Modular cargo bay.

Comm-link for shipboard use of hand-held communicators.

Voice-responsive computer. (But damn, don't I wish I could just say "computer" to engage the voice system instead of pushing that button!... and I wish that Majel Barrett's voice was in there )

And you must have the emergency destruct mechanism, right? Explosive charges installed in both the pilot and navigator positions, as well as along upper edge of the access ports.
