My Car: 2004 Prius Package: #6 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 |  Be certain that you're not hearing the engine RPMs changing up and down and interpreting that as true surging or bucking. The electric CVT drive often sounds to new drivers as though it has a bad case of transmission slip. If the car really is surging or bucking on a flat road, with no wind gusts and constant application of the gas pedal, then that is not normal. |
