If the two events were seperated by a couple months, how did the dealer know you originally ran out of gas?

What's was the SOC of the ebay HV battery upon installation? And now?

theres a code on the system that says car ran out of gas, or something to that effect/...

SOC went down to two bars (thats what you mean right?) but after starting the thing it goes up to crap I dont know... 5 or 6.. like the max it goes when the car is idle...

Cool, so the new HV battery is charging when the ICE is running.
But your 12v battery is draining, and that's the root of the inconsistent power-on, ready sometimes, problem.

What was the SOC of 12v battery prior to installation. Can you charge it fully, with a 12v battery charger, with at least 2 amps?
Sounds like maybe your still having 12v battery low voltage problems, and can't get a good reset of everything.

one of your doors may be open. That "can't charge while in neutral" message means that one of your doors may not be fully closed.

Try turning off the prius and locking it.

Oh, and when they say off/on 3 times, i think its with your foot on the brake.

Hell, just turn it on, wait a minute, turn it off, then turn it back on, wait another minute, then off, then on and off again. Perhaps that'll clear it.

this red triangle is not direct related to the HV battery or is it?
its juts means there is a problem
may be the 12 volt battery
of the HB battery
or a parkbrake problem?

its most likely your 12 volt battery, usually when the 12 volt battery goes bad it gives a red triangle before starting up or random errors where it wont stay in gear, and say "Please put your car in park.. " or something

And remember... when the drivers door is open or not shut all the way when you take it out of Park all hell breaks loose including red triangle, continuous beep, and the message "car will not charge while in neutral". Pretty serious messages for simply an open door if you ask me. Maybe its really OK?

For real???

why is it that I only seen this red triangle now? Cuz I probably have been troubleshooting the thing by moving a few feet on my driveway, with either a door or the hatch open!

gotta check these as soon as I get home...
