'08 Touring; No Mention of OEM Window Tint -- Wondering Why

My '08 Touring came with a mild window tint on front and rear side windows.
It is nothing like a full "limo" tint, but it is noticable. I have carefully checked
through all the sales literature that I got with the car, and the window sticker.
There is no mention of this highly desirable feature.

I'm glad to have it, and I think it is a feature potential buyers would want.

So, I'm trying to figure out what's up. Why the silence?

Is this an '08 exclusive feature? Any ideas?

Our 08 has the same thing. No mention of it on the window sticker.

Yes, my '08 also does have a mild tint. Although not really dark it is much more noticeable than those on my old Camry, which you can only see the factory tint if you put the window part way down to see the difference.

Toyota does say that the '08 Prius has "High Solar Energy-Absorbing (HSEA) glass" (whatever that means) standard on all models.

Unfortunately, due to my age, my night vision is not what it used to be and therefore have not added after-market tint.
