Default Smart Key - Ran Through the Wash

Anyone else run their Smart Key through the wash yet?

Ran my through our front loader last night. Took it out of the washer this morning and it still works.

Went ahead and took the battery out, dried it off, let everything sit in the sun for a while, and put it back to together.

Still works from a distance. Figured I got lucky on this one.

the smart key is as durable of any other non-electronic key..
the key can be taken with you in the ocean, pool, diving and can even be dropped from a very high distance.

I have a front loader and also managed to wash my fob. Have also sent a usb flash drive through the cycle.

Unlike a top loader, the clothes in a front loader really aren't submerged. That helps

Mine's been through the wash (lots of soap and fabric softener) and then through the drier and STILL works just fine. They seem quite durable, but I don't want to try that again. It's still clean.
