Ok I haven't had a chance to read the entire manual yet and the AC thing seemed sort of funky to me from the get go. I was under the assumption that Toyota was using the term AC in a more general sense, such as auto climate or the like. Is the compressor actually running when AC is on? When I turn on the defrost, the AC kicks on as sort of expected as I've heard running the compressor will pull moisture out of the air. Like most of the other posts, I find it a little annoying to have to turn on AC, change the temp setting and the turn AC back off. It will take some time to fully understand what Toyota is doing and why.

heating the air will pull moisture out of the air too.

And there is no way at all to go back and forth between passive air flow and any kind of temperature control without multiple manipulations on the climate screen.

I thought it was me as I only have 1400mi on car. I am getting so frustrated in setting fan speed and temp without having to constantly check to turn on and off auto, A/C etc. I would prefer that I can manually and easily adjust fan speed for unprocessed outside air wihout having heat and or cooling switch in.

i do believe its what Toyota forgot to consider.

its one case where fully automated isnt the best solution.
