I've lost my 'beeps'

I'm not really sure how long this 'situation' has existed, I think a couple of weeks, but it may be as long as since my SKS TSB was done...just can't be sure when. Anyway, you know those 3 or 4 beeps you get when you leave the car with it still in Ready mode but with the smart key in your pocket? Well I don't have those beeps any more. I know, for sure, I've listened for it twice and there is no beep.

It is one of the Dealer Customizable Features, so it may have been done inadvertently by the service dept. with my TSB work...but I can't be sure.

Just an interesting tidbit.

Regarding the beeps. I noticed that the 3 beeps from exiting the car in ACC mode is more noticeable (I guess b/c it repeats 3 times) than the one beep from leaving your car running (and in P) and exit the vehicle. I was in a residential street and it was still hard to hear the beep.

Evan the SKS Guinea Pig! You gotta be losing sleep about taking the car back for anything related to the SKS system after the last debacle.

doc, is it not possible that the beeps are still there but that your hearing has gone??? :P :P

Hmmm, if you lost those beeps, maybe there's hope of losing those annoying touch screen beeps too. :wink:

Many of those SKS beep functions are dealer customizable. Most of them are either on or off.
