Im with Tim. I will beleive it when I see it realeased into the wild market. I would bet the chevy volt NEVER sees the light of day!

Toyota will always do well in a "smaller price bracket" challenge.

In terms of emissions the new Honda hybrids will be at least as good as the Gen 2 Civic Hybrid which is:

-109 grams of CO2/Km (Prius II is at 104 gCO2/Km)
-Tier 2/Bin 2 for smog forming emissions (Prius II is a Tier 2/Bin 3).

I was at honda today for service on my van.

They had a stripo civic DX $16900. Dont know how they can do a hybrid for $19000. I have looked at both.
The dealer said he had a civic hybrid that a guy could not get a loan on. He said i could have if i wanted it.Better jump on it he said. I said no thanks i will wait for my prius.....Going on 6 weeks now hope to here somthing soon!! Black PKG 4

If it's based on the Fit, take a look at the Fit price.

If it is based on Fit, how come it looks bigger (from the spy shots) than Gen II Prius? EPA would classify it as a mid-size then. Interesting.

Glad to here that Toyota will always do well in a smaller price bracket challenge cause if Honda hits the 19 K mark Toyota may go 18 or 17

A hybrid below $20K is good news. When we see a FULL hybrid below $20K...that would be great news!
