My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I need some help. Can anyone tell me where to find some description of the dealer installed packages. A dealer offered me a Prius with package 9 (BC) but also had a Z1 package which I think includes floor mats and a first aid kit but I don't know what else. The dealer is asking $27000 but that seems to be quite a markup for the Z1 package. I thought maybe there would be a file somewhere with a description but I haven't found one yet. Mark |

Base car ($20510); BC Package ($5245); Z1 ($262) Floor mats, cargo mat, 1st aid kit). These are MSRP and total $26017 so it sounds like a little markup going on?? |

My Car: 2004 Prius Package: #7 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Hi: $27,000 is a bit high, you're right. MSRP for a Prius with Option 9 is $25,755 (includes $515 delivery charge; may vary for your locale). Given that most dealers are marking cars up like crazy, $27,000 isn't hugely out of line. I'm about to pay about $1000 over MSRP, and I have to buy the extended warranty on top of that before the dealer will sell me the car. Good luck. Bob |
