Default drive train techno question

There is a little paragraph in the brochure that mentions front wheel and rear wheel drive. Does the Prius incorporate both? I thought both the gas engine and electric motor drove the car via the front wheels.

It's on the inside of the back cover, under Warranties. Now that I look at it, I think it's just a general statement about drivetrain warranties and is used for all brochures which includes rear wheel drive cars.

The Estima hybrid minivan that Toyota sells in Japan has a hybrid system on the front wheels and a separate electric motor to drive the rear wheels.

As will the hybrid Highlander equipped with i4wd or 4wdi (whichever it'll be called, it'll use eletric motors at the rear to accomplish it).
