Default window rain guards activate auto window-open

The dealer installed dealer-option window rain guards today, but now the automatic finger-squishing feature activates and the window can't be raised all the way. Is there a way to re-program this safety feature to allow for the extra space these window guards take up at the top of the track? BTW these are not the glue on type guards, but install inside the window track at the top of the track.

There should be instructions in the owner's manual for how to recalibrate the driver's window if it gets messed up.

But first, try to "force" the window up into the rain guards to make sure they're fully seated. To do this, use the auto-up switch to start the window upward while the door is open. Place your palms flat against the window, one inside and one outside, making a glass sandwich. Help the window up by pushing upward on both sides. Whatever force you add will be subtracted from the safety sensors, so it should let you get the glass pretty far up. That may be enough to get the extra millimeter you need.

If not, try the owner's manual method to reset the "up" position.
