Heh. Well, I was stuck in traffic and the engine was cold. There was one all-electric crawl to the onramp and the rest was 0-20-0 stop and go. I looked down and got a good laugh, then realized, oh yeah, my camera is in my briefcase. Thought I'd share a bit of fun (with apologies to anyone with delicate sensibilities).

Looks like the Prius version of the "hummer wave".

I have seen that on my car, and thought the same thing.

My parents' Saturn L has seat warmers, and the picture on the power button always looks like a hand with the index finger up. The waves showing heat on the seat bottom look like knuckles and the seat back looking like the index finger.

if you are drivng in a "stop and go" manner then your mileage is within specs.

the key to real economy is not stop and go, its driving in a manner where stopping is not necessary realizing of course that any time you stop, that simply means you are driving too fast for conditions.

master this technique and you will easily see EPA in those conditions
