Still can't get over how much I love it AND the fact that I don't miss the power of my old Trans-Am at all! Anyway - I had to take the Prius in to the dealer today for it's scheduled additions (Protectant Stuff and Lowjack). (Don't lecture me, I ALWAYS get Lojack. I know that Prii are hard to steal, but anyway...) The nice dealer gave me a corolla to use FREE since my Prius has to be there a day (my work schedule - I couldn't wait for it and had to do a night dropoff). Nice of the dealer to let me use the corolla free - And I suppose it's an ok little car - but I have to tell you - it's NO Prius. I think I've been spoiled. It's like going back to a scratched up LP after being subjected to perfect digital CD's..... Yoda |

Light and twitchy handling. Felt like it needed a bag of potatoes in the trunk to give it more stability. I noticed the lack of torque (compared to the Prius) once it was in "top gear", and the big dash "in your face". What can I say? THey're both Toyota's and well built, but nothing on the road compares to my Red "princess". |

My Car: Other Non-Hybrid Package: N/A Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | The corolla gets very good gas mileage....even better if driven reasonably. Emissions will be a problem for most non hybrid vehicles, but can be minimized by driver behavior (drive reasonably, combine trips, drive when necessary, keep tires well inflated, etc). The corolla is a good car for college students, Low cost of ownership (low purchase cost, low cost to maintain, good gas mileage, low insurance)with high reliability. Absolutely nothing wrong with any of those things. A much better choice than a V8 Mustang or a Hemi anything....(cool cars, testosterone pleasing performance, but maybe not the best choice for low cost of ownership, and high reliability). |

One of my friends has a 1998 Mustang GT that just eats gas and being red, tickets. I told him to look into a Corolla hell even the S or XRS (XRS comes with the Camry 4 cylidner making 158 hp) he said its too girly....and wants to get an 03-04 Cobra....? |

I used more gas in 3 days than two weeks with the Prius. I almost made a claim for the additional money spent on gas. This happend when gas was 2.25, I would probably make the claim if it happend today. |
