I've never sat in or driven a Prius so I'm a little nervous. Hopefully I'm making the right decision to buy this car. Can someone help with the following: 1. I'm 6'4" tall. Will I be comfortable? 2. I'll be traveling a couple hundred miles on the highway coming from the dealer. Is there a breakin period required, vary speed, etc. 3. Is there anything I need to check for while at the dealer? 4. What else should I expect? My last 2 cars were a BMW 3 series and a Corvette. |

First and foremost, I suggest finding the "Picking up a Prius Checklist." I've got to ask though - why would you buy a car that you've never test driven, especially when it's a new-fangled car like the Prius? |

I got in a situation where I needed a car immediately and luckily found one in stock a couple hundred miles away. Unfortunately there is no dealer near me that has a car in stock and waiting lists are running anywhere from 6 to 9 months. |

My dealer also said to keep it under 70 MPH. (I also had a long highway run on the return trip.) It's wonderful to see you're 'going on faith' in buying the Prius. I do think your faith will be well rewarded. |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Well, I picked up my new Prius today. The car has exceeded all my expectations. The build quality is fantastic, and there are so many extras included. When I brought the car home and showed it to my wife she guessed it costs $40,000. When I told here it was $22,000 she was floored. At 6'4" tall I was very comfortable on the 270 mile drive home. Gas milage according to the Consumption meter was 53.2 MPG  , not bad since 90% of the trip was on the highway. The other benefit is this car is fun to drive, tight handling, easy to maneuver, and solid on the road. My 16 year old son told me he likes it better than my old Corvette I did a crash course last night reading through the checklist at http://www.priuschat.com/forums/kb.php?mod...71da7200b1906dd. Everything checked out fine except the air pressure was 35 lbs all the way around. I brought my tire gauge and adjusted to 33 in the rear. The only down side to the whole experience is that the dealer put the front license plate kit on. That means there are hold drilled in my bumper which is a bummer :x. Does anyone make any color coded plugs that can be used to fill the holes? |

Let us know if you make any fun modifications to it, there's a wealth of ideas on the forums. |
