My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I was rear ended in an accident today. Just a little tap from behind. The bumper was slightly compressed on one side on the top of it. How much are the bumpers to replace? If anyone can help me out with an estimate I would be greatly appreciated. I just want to know before I go into the body repair shop tomorrow. Thanks |

You just can't be running around playing bumper cars and not coughing up for the damage you cause. Rear end accidents are the fault of the person who runs into the car in front. Following to close or driving with undue care and attention. Get an estimate and you'll know for sure. |

My buddy at work (the one who actually got me interested in Prius) has a white Prius just like mine (but he has the tan interior, I have the gray/burgandy). His wife dented the bumper. His was replaced for slightly over $500.00 I believe. Hope that helps... Yoda |

Then there is the possibility if the trunk plate subducts and hit's the battery case. It happend on the wifes Prius but the battery seems fine at this early stage of it's life. |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | Unfortunately, I too was rear-ended 2 weeks ago. The total cost to replace and repaint the rear bumper was $568.70 plus tax. The other driver's insurance company paid for everything. I dropped the car off at 8:00 A.M. and it was ready for my by 5:00 P.M. (They had ordered the parts 3 days earlier). The job was done perfectly and you can't tell it from new. I am very satisfied. Good luck |
