Default Who Supplies Components ?

I was wondering what are some of the names of companies that supply components for hybrid cars. Specifically, parts and components that are not found in traditional gas guzzeling cars. Example; names of battery mfgs or names of manufacturers of other technologies & components of the Prius that I am not even aware of. If I knew a few of the technological terms I could Google it. thanks, Moby

Default Re: Who Supplies Components ?

Toyota:

Battery - Panasonic
Inverter - Toyota (I think they make their own for now)
Processor Chips - Toyota (I read that Toshiba made a deal with Toyota to supply more cost effective chips)
Electric Motor - Mitsubishi? (Not really sure but that's what I recall)

Ford:

Battery - Sanyo (Escape Hybrid)

Honda:

Battery - Panasonic (Insigh and Civic) / Sanyo (Accord)
