Does anyone know what type of headlight bulbs we have in 2005 option #3 Prius?

What is the color temperature?

I am thinking about changing to Cool Blue (CB9003) Check out the website.

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...son/default.htm

Will I be downgrading if I switch to Cool Blue?

I'm thinking of switching to those too. Does anyone have any comments? I've heard people recommend Silverstars but I couldn't find them at my local autoparts store.

update: Never mind, I found the silverstars. Anyone have any tips before installation or do I simply do a swap? What about alignment?

Edit: Oh the cool blue are about 2400K I think. Silverstars ~4000K

Those bulbs have a blue tint on the glass of the bulb. This will actually cut your visible light down. It is impossible to fake HID without getting the real thing.

I upgraded my halogens to HID in my 05 Prius Package 3 for about $500. I had a post on here about it but probably lost since the last wipeout.

Oh well, I just went out and bought a pair of Sylvania SilverStars. They're the 9003ST model. It took about 2 hrs to install. The hardest part is the removal of the rubber bulb cover. Here's a hint, it's NOT symmetrical like the manual depicts in the drawings. The inner ring is to one side. The right headlight is easier to do than the left (mostly cause you have to reach around the fuse box)
