LED Exterior Light Sets

Hi,

I'm in Costa Rica - first person in this country to have 2 Prius.
I am looking for the best quality - brightest LED exterior lights.

Front Turn Signals
Front Markers
Rear Turn Signals
Rear Fog Lights
Side Markers

Please list model numbers and recommended location to buy these.

Also - does anyone have any light kits that mimic the A5 LED daytime running lights?

Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

I've never seen such a thing done as a modification, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Still, I just don't see anyone going through the trouble to tear open their headlight housings to modify them like that. Now if you'd like to replace any bulb type of exterior lights you can do that, many already have and the LED kits readily available as a simple part swap (plug 'n play).

Some links for this? Either here on this forum or companies offering this. I want to have the absolute best quality and brightest sets that I can find.

Darell was making some for a short time, it appears that he is no longer making them. They were a little pricey, but of amazing quality and brightness. I'm sure the few that got them love having them. You can see a lot of examples still on his site, and if I remember right I think he even mentions/references/compares with some off-the-shelf parts that are commonly found.

Quality would probably go to Darelld but he's not making LEDs any more .


I've seen someone do something similar with the new Civic (3 bulbs diagonally... or rather aligned with the tilt of the grille. Very cool and very well done) so it is possible.

I'm looking to make all lights on the exterior except for the HID lights all LED based. Has anyone here done it ? photos?

I don't think we've found a taillight that's bright enough. I think someone did change the fogs to LEDs here... might've been the blue ones I saw.

i found 194 168 W5W 2825 Map Led Parking Signal Marker Bulbs
and shipping to the EU is only 9.5 dollars...

i hope these are bright anough for the rear red.

For the rear lights don't they need to be red? or is it a red lens?
I need to look - can anyone confirm?
