The entire rear is crushed, and the roof/cabin is badly damaged also. The car was in a roll-over I believe. It's damage is similar to that of Nick Hogan's car. |

You're not going to fit a 2JZ-GTE into the front (and if you wanted to produce decent power, where do you think you're going to be able to fit an intercooler and all the turbo hard piping?). And if you put it in the back, it'll be pretty obvious to anyone that you've done serious work to the car. You'd probably make more money parting out the Supra - you should know how hard to find/expensive some of those engine and drivetrain parts are. |

I'm just in it for a challenge, a long fun project, and something that may just pay off in the end. And with some dark window tint, and a good suspension setup, you won't be able to tell there is an engine in the back. |

Everyone at work thought I was crazy, so I showed the other guys here (in the Lakeside Toyota service department) and said that the Supra had a "2JZ" engine and they had a good laugh too. Seriously though, I've thought of doing something sort of like this before, putting a fast drivetrain in the back and keeping the HSD in the front for normal city driving. Not something I'll ever actually do but it would be cool! |
