I just barely fit into the driver's seat with my right knee up next to the gear shit knob. Has anyone been successful in extending the seat rails to be able to move the seat back a few inches? There is plenty of leg room behind for passengers. |

I love my new '08 Prius, but the only thing I am not satisfied with, is the driver legroom. Especially since my commute is an 1:15 to work and 1:30 on the way home. I feel quite cramped. |

I think the short of it is that you can either modify the seat so it's higher or modify the track so it's further back. nyprius seemed to have the best advice -- go to a handicap car retrofitter, as they are the most experienced for modifying car seats. Just over engineer it enough that you can feel comfortable skipping the 50 MPH crash test. ![]() |
