Yes, you are correct. I am running the BMS16C with a February system. With these older systems the BMS16C does not shut off the converter. However my converter does shut itself down with a red light at a total pack voltage of 45.2v The BMS16C does much better than the DB8s at balancing. I still see a high group of cells and a low group of cells. After balancing over night there is only about 12mv/cell difference between the high group of cells and the low group of cells. I still run the CellLogs with loud alarms. the CellLog alarms and the converter red light happen at about the same time. Hope this is the information that you are looking for. Thanks, Dan

There are two pins, next to the RJ45 plug on the BMS16C, I wander if these are in fact the alarm trigger. If they are, it should be pretty straight forward to rig up a relay to "switch" off since the user switch is just shorting to chassis ground. For those with the 5000 converter, are these two pins connected to the converter ? Thx, Pb | |
