Thank you for responding. I guess my main question is that I bought my 2006 Prius in Rhode Island and there was no sales tax on hybrid cars in Rhode Island . I then registered my car in Connecticut as I live here. And now in doing my state taxes for CT, it asks about purchases made in another state over x amount of money. I was assuming that maybe I did not need to pay a sales tax to Connecticut (as for #1 I did not purchase it in CT and as #2 CT does not have sales taxes on hybrids). I may be incorrect. I am not sure. What do you think? Thank you- Chrissy | |

No matter where you bought it. As to how you fill out the form, I don't know. I'd go to DRS@Ct.gov and see if they have an FAQ. Good news. -T <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusownerCT @ Apr 14 2007, 08:50 PM) </div> Quote:

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I am assuming that for 2008 we will still need to file: f1040 f6251 f8910 (not available from irs) I started the taxact.com process to familiarize myself with it, will I still need to file the 6251 and 8910 forms separately or will that program complete all of it for me? I'm not very familiar with the tax process and purchased my prius on 04/29/07. |
