My Car: 2006 Prius Package: #5 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 |  I just printed out the Federal tax form 8910, which has been updated for 2006 returns. You can go to to: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8910.pdf I also printed out New York State form IT-253 and it's instructions. BAD NEWS! It plainly states in the first paragraph of the instructions that the allowance for alternate fueled vehicles is no longer valid. Go to: http://www.tax.state.ny.us/pdf/2006/inc/it253i_2006.pdf Does anybody have any later info on this topic? This is a case where I would love to be wrong! Does anybody know if New York allows a deduction for sales tax spent on a hybrid vehicle? <div align="center"> [attachmentid=6444]</div>
