these videos are taken about 2 years ago when i fixed up my 01 prius,

this video was when the prius's throttle control sensor was broken, and i didnt realize it.

this video was when the prius first started up, the engine ran for 4 seconds and didnt enter that mode where its supposed to charge the battery, this drained the HV battery, because the vehicle had a fault and the motor generator started the engine, but it kept spinning at a low RPM. I have much more videos i will upload.

Hi. I'm going nuts not being able to watch the above vids, in fact anything on YouTube. I get a message saying either Javascript is turned off or I have an old version of Macromedia Flash Player. My player is v9 so that should be ok so how do I turn Javascript back on? I'm on XP SP2 and IE7.

First off, you'd probably be better served sending your request for assistance to YouTube directly, as this site is for Prius info, not computer help.

That being said, you're in luck that i happen to deal with crap like this all the time, being a web developer for the past 7 years.

start with http://www.youtube.com/t/help_troubleshoot - the second topic gives you a link to the latest flash player download (version 10.1.4.020).

To enable javascript if it is indeed turned off, follow these directions:
1. open IE
2. go to tools
3. go to internet options
4. click on the security tab (if this is a work computer and that tab isn't there, then it means your IT staff has intentionally blocked access, and there isn't anything you can do with IE)
5. select internet, then the custom level button.
6. scroll down to the sections labeled Java VM and Scripting, and set the permissions you want.

note - enabling javascript may be detrimental to the health of your computer, as it has been used in the past to run malicious code. Take whatever security precautions you feel are necissary.

If none of the above work, install firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/) and enjoy the bliss many others have experienced over the past years - fewer vulnerabilities, tabbed browsing (really cool - you open up websites in tabs inside one window instead of having a dozen different windows open. you can also utilize multiple windows for comparing sites or whatever), and fewer problems.
