My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I contacted Toyota directly (via email) to find out what the screen resolution is on the new MFD (2006-7). Below is their answer. So my question is this: Why is this classified information? It's just a LCD screen, for crying out loud...Dell, Toshiba, and HP love to publish the resolution of their screens, why not Toyota? Second question: Has someone who has taken their dash apart looked at the back of the MFD to find out who manufactured it and what the model number is? We might be able to get a answer that way. Toyota's response: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Recently you contacted Toyota. Below is a summary of your contact message and our response. Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you. What is the screen resolution on the Multi-Function Display (MFD) in the 2007 Prius? (example is like 400x240 or 640x480) Thanks |

Lay it over the display and count the number of pixels in both directions. That will give you the pixel/square-inch count in both directions. Then measure the width and height of the screen and multiply accordingly. You might not be perfect, but if you suspect it's one of the two options you provide, then whichever one you're closest to would be the correct one. |
