vibration and axle play

i have a 2005 prius with front end vibration. it is worse under acceleration. tires balanced and allignment done. while under the car today i pulled on the passenger side axle and it had a bit of play....maybe 3/16 and made a clunking noise. is this normal for the prius? i tried to find axles at stores like rockauto with no luck. any tips on where to find these?

I have not check if my axle, but I did not experience any vibration. I'm pretty sure that is not normal. Is your car still under warranty? If it is, bring it back and let the dealer fix it. If not, others can help. I don't know the answer to your other question.
