It's possible to hook up a buzzer to one of the reverse lights. I know Godiva had the instructions posted before the crash. There are several models available, including one that says (in either English or Spanish), "The car is backing up!"

EDIT: Sorry, I thought you meant connecting a buzzer so people outside could hear. My bad.

aaf709 is right.

Godiva has published instructions on connecting a Radio Shack intermittent piezo buzzer to the left rear back light wiring, seems it was about a $10-$15 dollar modification. The buzzer was concealed inside the left tail light structure (invisibel to the outside) and could be hear both inside and outside. If I can find the thread, I will post it here within the next day or two.

Here's an Instruction PDF file with pictures on the backup buzzer installation:

Where is that PDF originally hosted -- here, or on an external
website? There are a lot of typos in it, especially near the end.

<_< I don't recall the original source. I downloaded it so as not to lose track should I decide to do this modification. I was impressed by the excellent photos of the installation and good 'by the numbers' instructions.

Actually, the typos are not of critical importance to me... since I'm not an English professor or a spelling or grammar critic.

IIRC it was in the Knowledge Database on the "old" site. The link to that no longer works.
