Hi All,

Here is an interesting article:

ADP TRW Article

TRW apparently was deep into HSD like vehicle power transfer in the 1970s, and then again in the early 90's. They got a 30 % FE improvement in a standard 70's era car chasis and higher loss electronics. But could not find a U.S. car maker with the fortitude to do what it takes to make money in the modern world.

Sounds like this could be added into the Hybrid Vehicle history at the Wikipedia.
