We just purchased a new Prius three weeks ago, Touring w/Package 5, and we have NAV DVD version 6.1

I have a similar question, I just purchased a used 2002 Prius and it looks like it has a 2001 version of the DVD map. Does anyone know if I can get an upgrade for that? Thank You

should be v6.1

Ruben, you'll have to call Toyota (or visit the dealer) for that.

OR... check on eBay for a real, legitimate one. No "dupes", real stuff, genuine Toyota, but at very low prices.

Ruben,

One thing to be careful about when getting updated DVD's: Be sure to get the correct DVD for your NAV system. I believe in '06 (or was it this year's - '07) Prius went to high resolution and the DVD's for high and low resolution NAV's are not interchangeable.

Prius types, please correct me if I'm wrong.

FWIW- The "copyrights" on the actual NAV DVD are a year or two older than the actual disc, for example my 2007 NAV DVD which I got in a brand new '07 Prius (package 5) purchased mid-May '07, says copyright]2005 NAVTEQ !! The BEST (and only safest) way to get the most current and correct NAV DVD is by genuine Toyota PART NUMBER, whether it's from eBay or a real Toyota dealer.
