A/C fresh and recirculate settings

I don't use the auto temp control on the A/C very often. I prefer manual settings. I've noticed that even on manual if I have the A/C vent open to fresh air, then turn off the car, then back on, it defaults to recirculate sometimes. That normal? Thanks!

Yes, this is normal. AC/AUTO will stay in recirc until the interior temp is near the setpoint and then go to outside air.
