My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I was curious if anyone had played around with a way to rig a regular Sirius receiver, like a Starmate for example, in to the MFD's SAT1 function. I haven't taken one apart, but it seems like you should be able run a regular low profile antenna to a regular receiver, and patch the text and navigation controls from the regular receiver to the MFD (granted, with some rewiring, soldering, etc). What am I missing here that makes the 'factory' kits $250 - $450? |
