Thumbs up

Hello, I recently bought a Prius from the states. I am wondering if there is away to change the odometer to KM instead of miles (the total mileage part and Trip A & B stuff) and if it is possible to change the climate control to celcius. Thank in advance.

The only change you can make from US to metric is the speedometer. You cannot change the odometer, temperature, etc.

"Ferinhide"?
Hmmm, that sounds like something that would be fun . . . or very scary . . . depending on your preferences or orientation.

Ferinhide is name of the leather obtained from the Ferin, a relatively unknown mammal that inhabits the Australian outback.

Does not!
You need to check your facts!
The Ferin or more commonly known as the lesser Ferin, that is the one hunted for skin, as opposed to the greater Ferin which has thin skin with hard fur lives in the fiords of AUSTRIA not Australia!!!
They look like small kangaroos.
People always mix that up.

Now I need to iron my leaderhosin.

Your both wrong, the term ferinhide comes from a bastardization of the inner fur extracted from a baby seal. original meaning: (hide, far in) Some thought it had to do with "Hide and seek" the innuit highly resent thier termonologies being borrowed and reused erroniously. I don't think it's a good idea to cover your Prius with ferinhide as the innuit use it primarily for baby pampers, as it disintergrates rapidly.

You can change the odometer - speedometer from miles to kilometers. Air temperature readout is in °F only and does not toggle to °C.

This seems bizarre as the preferred and legal US system of measurement is SI or "metric" (Acts of 1862, 1975, 1988 and subsequent executive orders. All federal agencies were to convert to SI effective October 1992. The biggest foot-dragers are Department of Commerce (Natl Weather Service) and Department of Agriculture (we still measure grain crops in bushels). Our vehicles and engines are metric, but oil is still sold in quarts, not Liters. Our money, computers, paper, guns, skis, medicine, movies and many other products are SI. Milk cartons are scheduled to become three Liters (4 Liters was deemed too heavy for most people). You will see some changes in 2010 when European imports must be in SI units.

While we recognize that "a gram of prevention is worth three kilograms of cure" and we get paid in "metric" money, the US as a whole doesn't get it yet.
