Prius Lighting

I am about to be a new 08 Pkg 6 Prius owner, probably next week when I am told it will arrive. One question I have ....are the lights all LED bulbs or otherwise. I was not sure when looking at thru the lenses, but would assume they are. I know what happens when one assumes, so I thought I would ask the experts. Are the dash lights etc. LED? Can't wait to get the car.

Unless Toyota changed them for the '08, all of the interior lights are incandescent bulbs. There is one orange LED in the lower glovebox and the brake lights are also red LEDs.

If you're up to changing them out yourself, there are LEDs on ebay that will fit the interior fixtures in the Prius. There are also LEDs available for the exterior lights, but many have noted that they are not bright enough for practical use.

Thanks for the information. I was hoping that at least the brake lights were LED...Do you know if the front amber turn or running lights are LED or incandescent?

All of the running lights except the brake lights are incandescent. If you have HID headlamps, they are not incandescent either.
