If it is, it sounds like you accidentally reset the maintenance reminder (uses odo reset button w/ TRIP A meter showing). BTW, welcome. ![]() |

If the dealership actually was able to change the interval from 4500 mi (when the light starts flashing) to 3000 mi (or less), then I would also think that you could make the system "forget" the new setting by disconnecting the 12V battery to reset the system. You will also lose radio presets, mpg info, NAV region settings, etc. In any event, I would follow the oil change interval given by your maintenance manual, as 5k is pretty conservative and will fulfill your warranty obligations. |

Press the Info bezel button. Press the Maintenance screen button. Agree. Choose what you want a reminder about. Make sure the top right reminder button is on. You can also put in your favorite dealer and your car will tell you to go there for service. Choose the steering wheel Info button (quite confusing) to exit any setup.

I thought he was talking about the hard set 4500 mile MAINT SOON and 5000 mile MAINT RQD alerts.

I assumed that the OP was talking about the "Maint Reqd Light" but it is possible that the dealer tech programmed a 3k interval into the Maintenance Screen on the MF display. I had also forgotten that you can do this because I don't use it. I think it is only available with the Nav (and possibly Bluetooth) option(s). |
