Might be worth a look for anybody who wants a little better understanding on what makes these things tick. The only thing it won't give is the specifics of our particular batteries, for which we would need to consult the manufacturer (Panasonic?) |

My Car: 2007 Prius Package: #2 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | It probably has been posted before, but I ran across this today: http://www.nrel.gov/vehiclesandfuels...02_01_1962.pdf This is an NREL paper "Thermal Evaluation of Toyota Prius Battery Pack" related to the NHW11 vehicles. May as well link it along with the above documents since this gives some specifics on service temperatures and how the cooling system handles thermal management. Maximum operating temp is reported to be 55C. |
