Danny has always been great about returning my emails. Are you sure he got your email? Which email address did you use? I ordered a Dice Silverline on Thursday and received it today!!! The Sharkfins can take a long time as every fin is painted to order.

You said you placed the order two weeks ago. The ad for the BT Skid Plate that you ordered says that it has a 2-3 week back order. The ad for the Sharkfin Antennae that you ordered says that it has a 3-4 week back order. I really don't see the problem. And you're going to call your attorney??? lol Take a chill pill, have a swim, read a good book .......I would also suggest PM'ing him or double-checking the email address that you use. I did see that one of the emails on the site returns my emails as being "undeliverable"

I would suggest opening a dispute with PayPal and your credit card company. That'll do a lot more good than contacting a lawyer, at least in the short term. Make sure you do it before 45 days since your payment date. For example, I purchased a Skid Plate on 6/19/08. If I don't receive the item by August 1st (45 days would be August 3rd, but that's a Sunday), I'll open a dispute with PayPal.

Oh, and yes, their communication is pretty damn awful. No response to e-mail, no response to PM. The only communication is through the forums, where through complaints of others, it was "We're getting our shipment!" Then another week goes by, and after prodding, it was "We haven't gotten our shipment, but we're getting it soon." Then "We got our shipment, we'll be sending it out today!" and then silence for over a week. It's pretty pathetic. I wouldn't mind if they didn't charge me until the item shipped, but now I have to worry about going through PayPal or my credit card company and cancelling the payment before my buyer-protection ends.

So I understand why you're infuriated, as you've shelled out over $300 for your purchases and haven't heard a peep regarding your particular order.

I ordered floor mats on the 16th, on the 17th website said my order was updated and to expect it in the next 5-10 days . Why am I so scared then? Horror stories from the Forums! I will document my first Prius Chat order, I really need those mats!

July 16 - OEM All Weather Mats ordered
July 17 - Received update email saying order had been processed. Said to expect product in 5-10 days.
July 18 - Waiting
July 19 - Waiting
July 20 - Waiting
July 21 - Waiting
July 22 - UPS tried to deliver while I was out walking the dog, I'll pick them up tonight! One week order to doorstep, not bad!

I put in my order on July 2nd for the side moldings and the weathertech floor liner, received the moldings on July 7. Still waiting on the floor liner. I'll wait another week before I shoot them an email. By the way, the moldings looks great on the prius.

I got a response finally but it was pretty much just promising some future dates.

Also it took over 5 emails to get the response - the last 2 where not so kind.

My thoughts on this: If this is a hobby - find someone that wants to run it like a business and they will do much better.

If this is a business - then treat it as such. Treat people like you would want to be treated - communication wise - etc.. What would happen if Toyota for example responded this way - their business would have never grown to the point that it is today..

I'll see if I get the items or I need to bring out my nasty hat again.. it's not the way that it should be though.

Ordered a ScanGaugeII and a PriusChat.com sticker couple weeks ago. ScanGauge came in within 4 days, no invoice, no sticker. 2 e-mails into it so far, guess I have 3 more to go before I get a response. Can the sticker really be on backorder?

I have had very similar problems with the Prius Shop and have spent a lot of money with them. Last October, I wrote Danny to advise of a problem with the heatshield sagging in the middle and being completely ineffective. It took until just a few weeks ago (9 months) for them to finally resolve it. I believe their mission statement must say, "Ignore the customer in hopes that he will give up. If he persists longer than 6 months, then slowly move to resolve his issues."

As the original poster stated - many ignored e-mails, etc. I also have a problem with my driver side all weather mat cracking and allowing dirt and moisture to migrate into the carpeting. After finally receiving an answer, they tell me to take it to my local Toyota dealer (who seemed very thrilled to have to deal with Prius Chat's problem). This is LOUSY customer service to say the least. I won't subject myself to the aggravation in the future - I'll buy from somewhere else even if it does cost a few bucks more. The people on this forum who blindly defend Danny and the Prius Shop for their unacceptable customer service can continue sending their money in, the smart money will go elsewhere.

Let me clear up a few things. First of all, we have no control over products we do not carry in-stock. Products we carry in stock (DICE, Side Moldings, SGII, etc) are usually delivered to the customer within 2-3 business days since we use USPS Priority instead of slow UPS. Often times you all have more information than we do regarding backorders and when things are planned to come in stock. 99.9% of the time we reply with a "Not sure about the answer to that, let us get back to you." and then we try to find out the answer for you from our supplier or the manufacturer. If you ordered something through us from a manufacturer who is active on PriusChat, I would suggest you contact the manufacturer here on the site if you don't hear from us in what you determine to be a reasonable amount of time. Let me repeat - reasonable amount of time. You can't email us at 5:45pm on Friday and then again Saturday, then again Sunday, and cry that you've sent 3 emails without a response. Be reasonable.

Matt, I will admit that I personally dropped the ball on your issue. But, I will say to anyone who has an issue with any product you have purchased from the PC Shop, CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. They are the ones who can help you the quickest. In CaptainMatt's example, he had an issue with his Heatshield and the Heatshield company (Canvasworks) has always been great about providing support for our customers. With your Toyota OEM all-weather mats, unfortunately it is Toyota's policy, not ours, for you to take the mats in to your local dealership for warranty inquiries. It's like if you bought your car in South Carolina but you reside in Florida, you wouldn't want the hassle of bringing your car all the way up to Columbia for someone to take a look at it. We were very quick to provide you with your invoice so that your local dealership could help you out. If your dealer had a problem with it, I would suggest that they contact Toyota Corporate regarding their policies.

jammin012, the PC decal is something that traditionally we have mailed out in bulk. If you PM me your order info, I'll find out why yours hasn't been mailed out yet.

Like it's been said before, if you have an issue with the shop where you haven't received an email back, PM me! We have had problems in the past with our emails being caught as spam due to the thousands of emails our server sends out every day.
