Feedreader will check the forum every 15 minutes for new messages and will display a small notification above your clock in Windows when there are new messages posted to the forum. You can then read the post, and at the bottom of the post is a link to go to the thread itself so that you can post a response. Here are some glimpses of what it will look like for you: Notification: ![]() Screenshot of software: http://24.88.74.60/pics/feedreader.jpg Please let me know if you are going to be using this method - I'd like an idea of how many people will use this feature.

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | To me, the concept of forums like this one is to keep the email inbox from being overloaded with various emails. I check in here often throughout my workday. It's acutally easier to do just this instead of resorting even more email. |

I just come by when I get the time and check the latest when :computer: I log in. It works Great and I enjoy the freedom to only check out what I want. I usually check out everything since last log-in any how. That's my 2 cents :!: |

My Car: 2004 Prius Package: #9 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | I am checking into the RSS software. It seems like a good idea if I can figure out what it can really do for me. One thing that I am missing is a way to "reset" my unseen messages since I was last on. I look at the recent page, view the ones I want and then click something to clear it out for next time. For me it keeps increasing and I can't really find the new stuff from the not-so-new stuff. It is still a lot better than trying keep up wiht the Yahoo babble. jv |

But in any event, you can still tell which ones you haven't read and which ones you have by looking at the posts with this icon next to them (unread posts) whereas the ones you have read already will show up as read.

My Car: 2007 Prius Package: #5 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | My problem with using RSS is twofold: 1) No good way to stay in sync both at home and at work, as I browse during both sets of hours. 2) I don't believe there is an RSS reader for Solaris 8 (I use a Sun at work) --TSK |

My Car: Package: Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 0 | There are Java and web-based RSS aggregators. I would love to have a Priuschat.com RSS feed. Once you start using a news aggregator, there is no going back. Even just a feed of "the most recent" posts would be great. That should be pretty easy, and a good way to guage real interest. |
