How do You Use the Board?

I'm just curious to know how everyone uses the PC board. I've never been active on a Board before and have just fallen into my own personal patterns. Just wanting to know what others do. Maybe pick up some pointers.

I have created bookmarks for my most common PriusChat views. So when I go to "Favorites" in my browser, there's a folder called Prius containing:
PriusChat: My Posts
PriusChat: New Posts
PriusChat: Unanswered Posts
PriusChat: Archives
PriusChat: Advanced Search

When I'm awaiting an answer to a question, I go straight to My Posts. When browsing, I go to New Posts. When skimming for a thread title, I go to Arhives.

i just come around several times each day and click on 'view posts since last visit'. then after opening the ones that interest me, i click on 'mark all forums as read' to reset the list for the next time.

I do exactly the same thing.

me too.

i also check "send email notice when someone responds to my post"

that saves me having to check on posts that havent been answered yet plus that way i know when someone adds a post to an old thread that i have participated in.

I go to my favorites, click PriusChat, then click View Posts Since Last Visit, then spend my next couple of hours reading every post on this damned site :mrgreen:

I would likeand try to visit several times a day. But too often go several days between visits. AAAHHH. 4 pages of THREADS to sort through since my last visit. Sometimes start from the back and sometimes from the front.

1) Read the ones that I think of as MUST reads. 2) Ignore the ones that at the moment, I don't have time for but want to save, so that they will still be there for later when I do. 8) 3)Click briefly on the ones that I consider as "Not enough time this month for this one" to clear them from my "Posts since last visit" queue. :cry:

Still praying for that box that I can check off in the "Posts Since Last Visit" to TEMPORARILY clear unwanted clutter but realize that it is going to be an understandably long wait for that feature.

Everyone has a donate line (EXCEPT ME).. why??

I only visit every other day and use the "posts since last visit" which often results in lots! I don't read every post - just the ones that catch my eye - and when they are all read I click to mark all posts as read ready for next visit.

Even though you are a Silver Sponsor, Bob, it looks like you are a cheapskate and did not donate ('sup with that dude!). . . or maybe (the real answer) . . . you can not donate points to yourself. Therefor, nobody sees “donate” under their own name. Except maybe for DANNY . . . he can do anything.
