My Car: 2005 Prius Package: #2 Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 3 | I've learned a couple of tricks with the new software from you guys, and I figured it might be helpful if we create a repository of those we find most helpful or consider our favorite(s). Much of what you might post here is mentioned in the "Post your bugs" thread, but to quickly find the how-tos I propose to separate the wheat from the chaff -- the latter (for this purpose) being the various and sundry bug reports, gripes, thank-yous, etc. in that thread. So please post your favorite tricks, shortcuts, tips, etc. for the benefit of all. I'll start with these: "View First Unread": A link along the left margin above the first post in a thread.(Mods: If I've described any of these wrong or inadequately, please correct me. Also, if the thread grows to any length, can we make it a sticky? Thanks!)

My Car: 2005 Prius Package: B Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 11 | I think AirportKid found this out: To see who posted in a thread, click on the number under "Replies" near the right side of the page of a "View New Posts" page or a forum page. This will bring up a small window that shows who posted and how many posts they made in that thread. Click on the name brings you to their profile. Clicking on the number of posts, shows you the posts that person made. To see the first post of any thread, click on the + button next to the "Go to first post" button. This will expand the thread and show the first post.

My Car: 2004 Prius Package: #9 Nominated 4 Times in 2 Posts TOTM Awards: 0 Friends: 16 | This isn't exclusive to the new board, but a handy little trick. When providing feedback on how to navigate the forum, you can post the buttons and icons as images in your post. This works great with FireFox but not so much so with IE. 1. Right click on the item in question and select "Copy Image Location". 2. On the reply page when entering your post, click the button on the button bar.3. Paste the image location and click [OK]. And just like that, you will have the image in your post. Now where this comes in handy is in situations like JimboK's post above. He mentioned the "Go to first new post" which looks like this: ![]() The "Report Post" looks like this: ![]()
