+ how much cash, they're about the same price MSRP ($28 difference per wheel roughly). I do still have the OE Goodyears unfortunately but I'm going to include 4 studded snow tires with good tread as well. The TPMS is no issue, I'll just write down all of the sensor ID's and they can be programmed to your car by the dealer.

Your touring wheels and tires for my 15" wheels and tires as well as four 15" studded snow tires. I will also include the tire pressure sensors in the wheels as well as write down all the sensor ID's so they can be matched to your vehicle.

Friends: 2 | Uhh Ohh! ![]() As I suspected, a gross mismatch. ![]() I have Touring rims, covers, and lug bolts. No tires, no TPMS sensors, no center caps. Have no need for studded snows. ![]() Keep trying, a better match is out there somewhere. ![]() Good luck. Last edited by Rokeby; 06-25-2009 at 11:39 PM. |

Friends: 0 | I'd like to know why you are selling your Touring rims. I have an 08 Touring pkg6, and my mileage averages about 41, which seems low at 11,500 miles. It's often hard to get past 39 in town. And the car feels sticky (OK, it's supposed to be), sluggish...doesn't "glide" in pulse and glide, starts slowing down immediately. I'm wondering how much negative effect on mileage the bigger tires may be creating? They're inflated at factory recommendation. I drive a friend's '07 standard Prius quite a bit. It has 20k miles, glides easily, often has 2 passengers and mine only 1, and routinely gets 44-45 mpg. I'd like to find a way to improve my mileage. Help? Thanks. |

It has been estimated that the wider Touring tires may reduce MPGs about 2-3% or 1 to 1-1/2 MPGs. But that wouldn't seem to be what is keeping your MPGs so low. While there are many, may threads here discussing maximizing FE/MPG -- the Search tool is your friend -- here are a few things to get you thinking: * Set tire pressure to 42 front, 40 rear. * "Drive like you don't have brakes." * Short drives, less than 5 miles, are MPG killers. * Using the electric motor only to move the car is inefficient. In reality, all motion of the car comes from the gas powered ICE -- think about that for a while... * Gliding with no arrows showing on the screen is the most efficient way to travel. * Accelerate up to speed with other traffic, then start looking for ways to get MPGs up. * Heavy use of the air cond. is an MPG killer. * Consider getting your alignment checked. You can get it done free by Toyota during the first year. * Consider getting a ScanGauge from the PriusChat Store.
