Default WeatherFlector (ClimAir) Window Deflector

If I am not mistaken, there have been no pics that show WeatherFlector (ClimAir) window deflectors installed on a Prius.

So here you go:

Click the image to open in full size.

If you want to see other pics like how far it bulges out when looking from the front, PM me.

I'm not sure I installed the clips correctly when mounting the backs. It went almost too easily (compared to other posts I'd read)...nothing I saw was totally clear (to me anyway) on exactly which way those go in.

In any event, the things seem fine, tight enough, etc., but I do note that the rear windows don't seem to go up as far as the front, and my rear seats got wet the last time I went thru a car wash.

Wish that I had taken pics. when only the clips were on. I agree that the instruction provided is a lil' vague. My rear windows go up all the way, I haven't gone through any car wash yet but sounds like you installed the rear ones wrong. Water shouldn't leak through them. Please double-check.

I've seen these or similar things on the Prius before, but I could never understand the purpose of them. What are they suppose to do exactly?

For starter, they allow you to roll down your windows (2-3") for ventilation during rainy days without getting splashed. I even do this during snowy days and not a flake gets in.

Also, I lower my windows a bit when park outside to minimize heat build-up. Before I had these deflectors, a fine layer of green dust (a.k.a. 'the trees have gone crazy', or pollination) would cover my dash board every single morning. Now these deflectors help to keep the pollen (and many insects too) out.

Wind turbulence also seems to be less now when driving with windows down.

I don't know if they aid in aerodynamics but I personally think they look damn cool. 8)

I purchased a pair of these for the front windows and have been very pleased with them and the ease of installation. They just work great!

Sorry Areometer, I missed that.

Priuschat is certainly a better way to purchase for our Prius!
