It will beat a Ferrari at the quarter mile, but a Ferrari has a higher top speed. I'd like to have one, but it's really a lot more car (performance-wise) than I need. My preferred car would take twice as long to get to 60, and would have half the range. I just don't need more than that. My preferred car would also have a lot more room.

IMO everything is good but the "range" or the lack of it
if it did about 300 I would highly consider it over my exige

When would you ever drive 300 miles in a day??? I want a 75 mile range, and I'd pay for 100 miles just to be on the safe side, but 50 miles is about as far as I'd normally ever drive, except on a road trip. And for a road trip, no EV is going to do it until there are fast-charging stations on the highways.

Demanding 300 miles is unrealistic, and it tantamount to saying you won't buy an EV.

BTW, the Tesla validation prototype went 245 miles on the EPA combined city/highway course. Driving aggressively it went just under 200 miles, but driven conservatively (i.e. gently) I think it was not too far below 300 miles.

i guess you dont know how much i drive, why would you even comment on something you dont have a clue on

unlike most people i drive my CARS...my exige as bought in july 07 and to date ive already racked up 12K+ miles on it, my caddy ext is also bought in 07 and has 40K+miles on it

i do have a life, people to see, places to go to...plus considering they rate the car @ 200miles going 65mph, who really drives that SLOW on the freeways? 300miles is great so you have that extra cushion "just in case" most cars can run up to 300miles on a tank of gas

it would be kinna dumb to release a $100K car that is electric and does 0-60 under 4sec but only get 200miles/charge



the car wont even make it from LA to LV with out having to recharge, LOL, who cares how fast it goes, itll be stranded somewhere overnight after 200miles hahaha

If you drive that much, there will not be an EV that meets your needs until the next big breakthrough in electric energy storage. It is NOT "dumb" to manufacture an EV that provides the range that present battery technology allows. Very few people need to drive as far as you do. For your lifestyle, you'll have to settle for a car that gets at least some of its energy from liquid fuel, i.e. a hybrid, a PHEV, or a REEV.

understood, thats why i said i wish it did 300miles, so it CAN suit my needs...simple
