For those of you who were not satisfied with 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, there is now a new version of the Tesla Roadster that does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds.

Also, the tires are high performance and there are more carbon fiber accents on the car.

It looks amazing and I want one.

I'd have bought a Roadster if it had been available for immediate delivery when I visited their headquarters a couple of years ago. But I was never interested in its extreme performance. I just wanted an electric car, and would have much preferred something more comfortable and with more interior space, and perhaps half the range and acceleration. Tesla has a good commercial model, going for the high-end market where a small-volume company can compete. But shaving a couple tenths of seconds off the zero-to-sixty time is just gilding the lily, if you ask me.

Gas guzzler for when I have to travel farther than 60 miles: 2004 Prius.
