Does anyone actually know whether the TCH's traction control (on the Prius it should really be called "drivetrain protection circuit" since it doesn't perform the function that traction control is supposed to provide) is any less sensitive than the Prius? I've no idea, since our TCH isn't broken in yet and I'm not going to floor the accelerator to find out until it is.

I had a chance to drive our TCH a bunch the past few days and continue to be impressed by its quietness, smooth ride, and comfortable seats compared to the Prius. I have to laugh when I read that people think the Prius is quiet, or handles well (it generates a whopping 0.72g on the skidpad with stock GY Integrity tires); I have to wonder what the hell else you've ever driven. Leadfoot wife even averaged 47mpg taking me to the airport in the Camry. For me though, the Prius is the right size for trips under 50 miles, so I won't be trading for a TCH or anything larger.

Oh yeah, at $1k under invoice, we paid less for the 2009 TCH than I did for my loaded 2005 Prius 3.5 years ago.

I have yet to have it kick in, or even if it does kick in the same way the Prius does. On roads where the Prius would always kick in, the Camry has yet to do it. A few times a tire would slip on the gravel or sand and kept going, nothing like the Prius where it would stop.

The Camry handles so much better than the Prius ever wishes it could. On some roads, you couldn't hear the radio over the road noise, but the Camry is so much quieter. You really cant compare the two cars, it is like night and day. I put over 24800 miles on the Prius, some of it was driving from IL to Penn and back, so I am very familiar with how well the Prius handles, the comfort, and the noise levels. Around here, you cant buy a Prius for less than a Camry Hybrid, all the ones on the lot are priced at or above $27K, most are above $30K. I got my TCH for $26200. Only difference between the two would be mine doesn't have leather or Nav, but I don't need Nav, and leather is no big deal, if I want to sit on leather seats, Ill drive my F350 or Veracruz.
