I found the camera to be more a hinderence than helpful since you tend to focus generally on the camera and not the mirrors. What would be nice is if the mirrors tilted down a bit when put into reverse. That is the only thing I have a problem with, I have to move a certain way to see where the rear of the car is in relation to the curb or road, but generally I can back that sucker up straight down a driveway at 15 MPH and get my wife to yodel as if she was on a roller coaster! |

I'm glad I have these rather than the camera. I'm "old-school" in that I prefer to keep my head on a "swivel" when backing up, looking not only directly in back of me, but watching for items that may be approaching from the rear quarters. From checking out various cameras, most of them will show directly behind, but not so hot on items that may be approaching/crossing from the side (bicyclist, kids, etc.). The ParkPilot allows me to back into and out of areas while looking around and listening to the beeps from the system letting me know the distance from obstacles. Good for parking in slot with raised curbs.

It works real good as it is a CCD high quality camera. Comes with the wire harness and is easy to install in a OEM NAV equiped car. It can be had at cruisin@live.com for $150. |
