Friends: 33 | [Edit] This thread is for questions and discussions. I have a second thread dedicated exclusively to my reviews, impressions and ramblings. http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-hy...e-pv-blog.html [/Edit] On Wed, July 14th, Toyota will deliver a brand new Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle to my place of work. I will drive that PHV to Green Drive Expo where it will be swapped out for a different PHV. I will drive the freshly charged PHV in the MPG Challenge. I will drive the original PHV back home where I'll keep it until Thur, July 22nd when I will deliver it to the Mtn. Dew Rally / Event / Something in Downtown Chicago. Oh yeah, that's right. ![]() This thread will hold pictures I take and will provide links to video I shoot. If you have questions, list them here and I will attempt to address them all. Keep in mind that I am not allowed to take it apart and I'm not very technical so I wouldn't know what I'm looking at even if I did.

Friends: 4 | bookmarking this page right now I can't wait to see what Toyota's come up with and hear your experience. I figure I've got another 3 years until I'll be out of my warranty on the Prius, at which time i want a plug-in hybrid! |

Friends: 0 | Questions: 1. How hard can you accelerate in EV without its turning on the ICE? 2. How fast can you go in EV without its turning on the ICE? 3. How far can you go in EV before the ICE kicks in? 4. What mpg do you get after the plug-in charge is used up? Eagerly awaiting real-world information. |

Friends: 0 | Very nice. Questions - Regen on EV packs - Other competitors - What category were you in - Did Toyota watch results - Avg speed during challenge - Does it have the new IPOD Out interface |

1. I accelerated pretty damned hard uphill onto an interstate onramp and the ICE never kicked in. When Evan was driving, he punched it pretty hard to get up to interstate speed and the ICE never kicked in. 2. 65mph 3. ~15 miles. Like the Leaf results, it's up to you. 4. That's going to be the fun one. Technically, once the packs are depleted, it's a standard 2010 Prius. However, this one is lugging around a couple hundred pounds of dead batteries. All the same, I bet I could get 60+ on regular streets. | ||
