Noise from Aux Port (06-08)

i only have the noise if i have my ipod plugged in the aux ports while its also plugged in the 12v power supply to charge it up while playing

I talked to Toyota USA today.(1-800-331-4331) They claim all models built after 8/07 have the new part. No TSB for the 08s. Please call, get a case number and let them know you hear it in your 08.

The easiest way to tell if the noise is from the AUX port or your device is to just shut off the Ipod or Sat radio and crank up the vol while still in AUX mode. I also hear the high picthed noise and engine popping in my 2008. I use an XM radio in my AUX port and when Led Zeppliun comes on and I crank up the volume it is very noticeable.

I am having this fix when I get my first oil change.

This rocks, I sent this over to my Toyota dealer, who knows me quite well (sadly) -- long story -- and he will email me when he has the parts in so we can get it fixed.

I had my '08 in for its 5k mile service this weekend, I brought it the 06/07 TSB from earlier in this topic. The service guy checked it out and told me the TSB has been update for the '08 model to : TSB 0067-08.
Unfortunately he needed to order the parts, so I'll have to take it back in to get it taken care of.

This is also occuring on my new May 2008 vintage Prius. I'm using a Garmin Nuvi GPS as an MP3 player through the Aux port.Only when Nuvi powered by dash or console plug, not when Nuvi on its own battery. I do have its volume turned up near max, have not tried yet to reduce its volume to judge effect on noise as per earlier suggestion in thread. Is the TSB update mentioned earlier to include '08's viewable publicly now to show a dealer in case they dispute it or dont have latest info?

Bringing my 08 in for its first oil change next Wed. I also told them about the AUX noise issue. Yes, I do have to crank up the volume but I do that when I hear a good Led Zepplin song. Hopefully they can fix the issue then.

I just found this TSB and started a new thread in the Modifications section but I'll post the link here as well. Here is the new TSB. Just hold down the control button and cliclk on the link to open the bulletin an Adobe format.
